Description
To facilitate higher production line run rates the Loader machines are prompted using a SMEMA control port that connects to Neoden equipment including conveyors, PnP machines and ovens. This configuration moves PCBs along the line when an adjacent machine indicates availability to proceed. A total of three magazines are used for a fully loaded machine cycle. Each magazine has a 50 PCB capacity. A magazine can be queued as next-up to replace the working magazine, and a completed magazine may be awaiting removal by the operator. The magazine exchange is typically completed in under 30 seconds. The magazine is secured using pneumatic clamps and a working height sensor with limit brake for the correct overall alignment. The PLC control system with touch pad provides user access to current machine status and configuration options such as changing the direction of PCB travel, Left to Right or Right to Left to accommodate alternate line configurations. A visual annunciator light bar and audible buzzer provide additional production environment alerts.
